When investing in a series, it's typical for me to have a favourite male and female character and in the case of Shingeki, Christa is definitely the female character that I live through when reading the manga. This probably isn't much of surprise given how similar Armin and Christa are, but yeah! With Northwest Fan Fest over and my Shingeki cosplay finally finished and debuted there are a bunch of photo projects I have planned both solo as well as with my friends. Last week, Fantasyrhia, my dad and I had two Christa shoots and I am so stoked to finally start sharing the photos we got! (Between those two shoots, the Northwest Fan Fest photos I've been receiving and the backlog of stuff I still have yet to put out there, I'll be pretty spoiled for choice when it comes to posting cosplay photos. XD) This was our second time using our new reflector, the first time being during our Miku shoot in the Spring. Fantasyrhia was an absolute superstar wielding it around the shoot and helping me re-position various parts of my cosplay between poses and my dad worked his usual photography magic as he always does. I'm excited to finally have gotten to properly portray Christa with my full cosplay and I'm really excited to share more details from the shoot along with the photos themselves!
As a side anecdote, the title was partially inspired by Fantasyrhia's antics during the shoot as I was slightly struggling to get my Shingeki-approrpiate sad expression in preparation for dad to snap the next set of photos. Chelsea successfully made me break what seriousness I'd mustered as she exclaimed "there, look sad like the abandoned child you are!" and I cracked up all like "YUP PRETTY MUCH."
