Elastigirl Onstage

First off, before I say anything else, I'd like to point out that I am wearing skating tights with this cosplay, so thickness-wise, I'd might as well be wearing pants. Please be respectful with your comments.

I'm slowly finding more and more photos of my Elastigirl cosplay from Northwest Fan Fest. There were so many talented photographers covering the Cosplay Contest as well as the con in general and I'm really excited to get to share their lovely work with you all! ^^ This is one of my absolute favourites, taken by Kuna Photography Group during my walk-on in the Cosplay Contest.

It was my first time ever competing in a cosplay contest rather than a skit contest and I have to tell you, it was an absolutely nerve-wracking experience. I really enjoy getting to perform onstage and with skit competitions, there's no real lead-up or scrutiny on the how - you just wait your turn, do your thing and that's it. Having to go through pre-judging and holding for the cosplay contest stressed me out a lot. As soon as that was over and we got to practice on the catwalk, however, I mellowed out a lot and from there, I had an amazing time. Going onstage was a blast and chatting with my fellow competitors, like this super sweet and talented Wonder Woman cosplayer, while we waited for out turn to strut made for some fond memories. ^^ Overall, even though there were a lot of rough patches in the experience, I'm ultimately happy that I did it and would probably do it again if I ever make another outfit that challenges me as much or more than this one did. Skits are definitely still my main domain, though. XD
