I figured I should get photos of last weekend's Cos & Effect line-up posted before I continue with my Maya spam. So here's what I wore on Friday: Flora Reinhold from Professor Layton... AKA the character who seems to end up with the short end of the stick in almost every situation. :/

I've always loved Flora - I found her backstory really compelling and her character bears many similarities to me: she's shy and quiet, though stubborn and pushy when she or her friends are given a hard time. She also has such a tremendous sense of caring for her friends, which really warms my heart. :aww:

I also ended up having a group, which was somewhat unexpected; I had planned to group with two others as my Luke and Layton, however both ended up cancelling on me, so I wasn't sure how my cosplay would be received without my group (something probably along the lines of "... You're a girl in an orange dress"). I knew that *KingdomZelaybli had been planning a Luke cosplay for a while, but I wasn't sure whether or not she'd be attending C&E, until I got a text Friday morning asking if I was going to be Flora. Then once I got there, I discovered that her sister, *Myelix had put together a Layton cosplay... And I totally freaked out. :'3 It was so awesome getting to have those two in a group - we had a lot of fun linking arms and saying "oh my gosh, puzzles are like, totally the best" in Lumpy Space Princess voices. XD Many people ended up freaking out when they saw me, exclaiming things like "oh my gosh, you have a Flora! No one ever does Flora!"

So all things considered, quite a good time! I just adore these games, so it was awesome getting to finally cosplay Flora after three years of wanting to. And may I also add that that dress is just SOOO much fun to wear?? It's so cute! X3

We certainly don't go to East Coast conventions very often (well, at all, actually OTL), but it has been a dream of mine, so I will be sure to let you know if we ever do end up going! Getting photos with you would be a total honour, you are such an amazing Emmy, oh my gosh. <33

It's funny that as Flora you look so much smaller than as Fey for example.

Do I really? That is quite funny, especially considering the fact that I wear heels as Flora and flip-flops as Maya. XP I guess the fact that black hair makes me look more mature might have something to do with it?
