Vanellope von Schweetz: .: Cupcake :.

I really love this shot and kind of can't believe I haven't posted it yet! Well, here it is! The Likkity Split! Made it myself. Fastest peddle power west of the whack-a-mole!

I realize I haven't given details on this shoot yet! A few days before Christmas (the day after my group and I recorded our "White Christmas" CMV), *Fantasyrhia and I went downtown to get photos of my then recently completed Vanellope cosplay! She was really excited to photograph it ever since I told her I was going to be Vanellope and she exclaimed that every time she ended up seeing a Vanellope cosplayer on the internet before that point, she had to stop and double check whether it was me or not since she could totally see me as Vanny. XD Anyway, I took the bus downtown; it was really fun wearing my candy hair and stripy tights with my big winter jacket. I didn't get too many weird looks on the bus, though I got some curious glances while I was sitting there with a giant smile on my face and listening to the Sugar Rush theme on my iPod. XD

After getting off the bus, I saw two girls I used to know; one used to go to my high school before suddenly leaving (we were pretty good buds), while the other I was good friends with in middle school before I became a gamer and she went a little weird and claimed that we couldn't be friends anymore due to the fact that I loved videogames so much. Neither one recognized me, but both giggled and looked very excited to see my outfit, which was a little weird given how to them, I was just some girl in a Vanellope outfit rather than someone they actually knew. Walking towards the mall, I got more weird looks, though not as many as I had anticipated. I kept walking while rocking out to Wreck-It Ralph music. :'3

Rhia and I met up in the mall, I gave her the Christmas present I had for her, and we took a stroll outside before actually getting photos. During our walk, we stopped to get some free samples at a tea shop and while we were there, a young guy working at the shop came over smiling and said to me "I have to ask - what's the occasion?" To which I replied, "we're just photoshooting." We also walked to the comic store, and on the way there, a couple of girls around our age were walking in the opposite direction. I saw one of them nudging the other frantically and as we passed them by, heard her gasp and say "it's Vanellope!" X3

We started actually taking photos in the mall. We started in the hallway that you can see in some of my other Vanny shots. We've taken photos there before with no issues, mainly because the hallway is rather out of the way and no one tends to use it. We started getting photos, a few people went by, but eventually a security lady came by and politely told us that we had to move. Given how rude officers have been to us in the past, being told so nicely was quite appreciated, although I still felt rather embarrassed given the way in which I was dressed and posing. XD

We tried photoshooting in a super classy alleyway a little ways away from the mall, but the lighting wasn't the best. I then caved and suggested Chinatown, despite me not being so confident that it would fit with Vanellope (I just remembered how good it was in the way of lighting and colours back when I photographed *Erin-Aru and *LifeAsAnArtist in their Hetalia cosplays there last year). I ended being wrong - the Chinatown alleyway that I suggested ended up being a really good location (as you can see from this shot and the other shots from there). Many people who walked by complimented me and told me I looked cute.

Both of us were really tired by the end of the shoot - I tell you, winter shoots are the worst idea given how much the cold saps your energy, but even knowing this, we do them anyway. XD The shots come out well, but our bodies are like "NO MORE" by the end of it. XP

So there's my photoshoot re-cap rant! I hope that was interesting!
