I finally finished it!

While I was still making my Vanellope cosplay, many people who I chatted about it with asked me "what the heck are you going to do for the hair candy?" That made me think that a tutorial for the candy wouldn't go un-welcomed. Plus making tutorials is really fun (though extremely labour-intensive OTL), and it's been over a year since I made my last one, so off to Photoshop it was!

I had a lot of fun making this tutorial, and I'm hoping this will be able to help out all those aspiring Vanny cosplayers out there!

I actually started making this quite a while before I finished my cosplay, but then I abandoned it for a bit, only finishing it off recently, since making tutorials is a lot of work, so you have to work on it in strides. I'm hoping to do a lot more tutorials this year, so we'll see what happens.

I always wear a camisole underneath; either gray or white, I just alternate.

Sure thing! I sewed it out of pink taffeta the same way one would sew a plushie. I made two separate stuffed parts (one for each stick of the 'V'). To add the Twizzler effect, I covered a pipecleaner in the taffeta and then wrapped it around both parts of the 'V' and tacked it down. The whole thing is kept on with a hairpin attached to the back. Do let me know if I can clarify anything.
